Killer Collards!



Wash 1 Bunch of Collards throughly.

Tear thick stem/vein out of leaves and cut into strips.

Dice and add 1 large onion

1  carrot

2 small turnips

2 cups filtered water & 2 packs Goya “ham” flavor or splash liquid smoke

Simmer 15 min. longer, depending on taste (these cooked 30 min. or so as my guest liked them that way)

At the end I diced 2 Tofurky sausages and threw them in.

Splash with hot vinegar – I made my own tonight: white vinegar and red pepper flakes.

Let sit while greens cook
